Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 40-foot-long push-on, side-bulb wiper seal for your RV slide-out. I wanted to zoom in just to show you on the seal what we're talking about, what it looks like, cross section of it. This is a rubber push-on seal. It's used to prevent water from leaking into the slide-out on your RV.
The wiper seal right here has a little flex in or out depending upon how the slide is moving. The bulb portion right down here will seal against the RV when the slide-out is closed. This type of seal is commonly used on the older RV models, and it is very easy to install. You just simply push onto the pinch-weld flange, this section right here, on the RV frame that's surrounding the slide-out. It is designed to fit a 3/16-inch-thick flange.
You can use scissors to trim the extra seal if needed. We would recommend using a tucking tool to aid with installation. We do sell those separately on our website, and they're listed on this product page as a related product. This seal itself is constructed of an EPDM sponge and dense rubber, so it will not shrink, crack, or fade over time. It is resistant to UV and ozone exposure.
If you look closely right here in the portion that you're gonna push onto the flange, it is designed with a flexible metal core to ensure weather resistance and durability. This will protect the RV from extreme weather and pests. Dimensions again; the length of this whole piece is 40 feet. The width of just the bulb seal is 3/4 of an inch. The total height of the whole seal is 2 7/8 inches tall.
